South African Global Food Station on 23 September 2011
The South African Consulate General in New York and Restaurant Associates in cooperation with U.S. IMC - International Marketing Council hosted a food promotional event called The South African Global Station at the Hearst Corporation’s Headquarters Cafe’ on 57th Street and 7th Avenue.
The event featured South African cuisine and sampling of leading South African specialty foods imported in the U.S. like the two time sofi gold winner, Rozendal Gourmet Vinegars, Nando’s peri-peri sauces, Mrs. Balls’s Chutney and Something South African rubs and curry sauces.
Celebrated South African Chef, Charmain Sitthappah of The Seasoned Pot was the Guest Chef and sampled traditional South African fish dish and desserts at the Chef’s Table.
